Are there any side effects to a Vitamin B12 shot?
I have low levels of B12 and am being given shots once a day for 5 days, twice a week for 2 weeks and so on.. Are there any side effects?
It sounds like I’m still feeling the way I was before the shots (I just started them). I guess I’ll be giving it a few days and seeing what happens. Thanks and keep the good answers coming!
Well, I assume a doctor will be giving these to you or at least prescribed them in some way so I would ask them.
If a doctor didn’t tell you to take these then….go see a doctor.
or google it.
B12 can make your appetite increase, but not too much.
Not that I ever had and I was on B-12 shots for several years due to anemia. You should ask your doctor (who prescribed the shots) and your pharmacist.
Vit B 12 is usually non-toxic, even when taken in large doses.
Any side effects are quite rare. With the injection, you may experience soreness/tenderness at the injection site, localized redness at the site, even mild bruising can occur.
I hope that this helpful.
I have been having B12 shots for 2 years, and personally I have had no side effects at all, actually I have felt much better since having them, I hope you do to
I got B12 injections last year. One every month for 3 months. They hurt like hell! The liquid is very thick and it is painful when it goes into the muscle. I felt a bit achy and dizzy afterwards (nearly fainted after the second one). Ask to be lying down and keep moving your arm after you’ve had it to move the mixture around.
