Can an infection make you very tired and not willing to do much?

Well I don’t have insurances so I can’t really go to the doctor, and I get money at the end of the month so I maybe able to go see the doctor then, But I have been really tired, stomach upset 70% of the time, All I want to do is eat, and then I feel sick, but my body is telling me to give it lots of energy. I haven’t felt normal in almost 3 weeks. I know I am not pregnant because I had a test done and it was negative.
I went to a women’s health care and they did a test for free and found that I am fighting an infection. But just trying to figure out if the infection is the thing that is making me so tired and drained all the time.
I sleep most of the day if I feel really bad, but I may get up for like 3 hours during the day to spend with my husband and about 30 minutes before he goes to work I lay down and I am out till really late that night.
Just trying to find out what can be wrong. I am going to get meds for the infection at the end of the month.

It’s probably the infection that is making you tired. Fighting an infection is hard work that uses up calories, and you’ve been doing it for three weeks straight on not enough food. If the infection hasn’t gone away on its own by now, it’s probably not going to; you really need those meds.

If there’s any way to get them sooner–borrowing money, asking if the women’s health care place has any sort of sliding scale in place, anything–I’d do it.

Until then, try to drink a lot of liquids. If you’re having trouble eating, try to make sure those liquids are things like juice and broth, which have calories in them. Ginger can sometimes help an upset stomach; I’ve linked to a recipe for ginger tea below.
