Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed at his church in Wichita one year ago today.
George Richard Tiller, MD (August 8, 1941 – May 31, 2009) was an American physician from Wichita, Kansas. He was the medical director of a clinic in Wichita, Women’s Health Care Services, one of only three nationwide which provided abortions after the 21st week of pregnancy (known as late-term abortion).
On May 31, 2009, Tiller was shot through the eye and killed, by anti-abortion activist Scott Roeder, as Tiller served as an usher during the Sunday morning service at his church in Wichita.

This was an innocent man who was only providing women with a LEGAL medical procedure. How can this crime be justified? What do you think of anti-abortion violence?

That is exactly what I am saying. Whilst embryos/foetuses have the potential to become human, they aren’t on the same level as human beings and Judaism recognises that. Whilst Judaism disagrees with abortion, it recognises that there are some cases where abortion is necessary and even obligatory.
Scott Roeder is an American Hero, he has saved the lives of countless babies!

I think what goes around comes around. At least they were fully grown adults who could defend themselves, and, who made the choices that made so many hate them.
I think that kind of violence defeats the purpose of being against abortion in the first place. So we can’t kill babies but it’s OK to kill people we disagree with? No.
Anti abortion violence makes no sense to me. They claim to be “pro-life” and yet are okay with killing and hurting others. The two ideologies don’t seem to mesh. We get bombings of abortion clinics and shooting doctors point blank in defense of their pro life stance.

And why does the term “legal” make you think it’s just okay now that they slapped a word “legal” on it. Think for yourself! What about all of the things that have been legal before in our government and were reformed? Edit: Abortion IS Murder. You are killing innocent babies and denying them life. We all as humans started out as the same stage that these babies are being killed at. Those babies are as equal as us. We were them once before!!
edit: How can a mother or father who have a healthy child that they love look at them with compassion in their eyes if they are pro-choice, or for killing unborn babies. That child they love so much was once at that stage, so how can they look at their child like they’re something to do away with like a piece of trash and just abort them because they don’t want to handle their responsibilities.

2. Despite the propaganda, Killing babies while in the womb is not a medical procedure.
3. Killing an abortionist is great and justified, just as killing a different type of murderer would be if he took his knife to the school playground with the plan of killing the children playing there!

5. Children are separate, genetically distinct human beings, no matter what stage of development they are in or their geographical location, in or out of the womb.

And a little tidbit about late-term abortions, that you probably already know, but for the people out there that think it’s just another way to “kill babies”, it’s a procedure done in cases where there is extreme defects found late in pregnancy!!

It can not be justified. Tiller was providing a legal service. This killer is crazy and you can’t reason with a person like that.
